SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT ISSUED FOR 2015 ST. HELENS WATER QUALITY REPORT

In 2015, the City of St. Helens participated in a nationwide study of unregulated contaminants for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Unregulated contaminants are contaminants that do not have a drinking water standard set by the EPA. The purpose of monitoring these substances is to help the EPA determine whether a standard should be set.

After recently contacting the Oregon Health Authority, the City discovered that the results of this study should have been included in the 2015 Water Quality Report which was mailed to all its utility billing account holders within the City’s water system on June 20, 2016.

A supplemental report which includes the results of the 2015 EPA monitoring has been posted to the City’s website. The supplemental report along with complete copies of past Water Quality Reports can be viewed at http://www.ci.st-helens.or.us/publicworks/page/water-quality-reports.
