Finance has the fiduciary responsibility to safeguard the City’s financial assets and manage them in accordance with the generally accepted accounting and financial management principles.

General Functions of Finance

  • Budget: Compilation of the annual budget for review and approval of the City’s Budget Committee and City Council, and monitor for compliance and performance.
  • Treasury: Provide cashiering, investments, banking, debt administration, collections, accounts payable, payroll, and financial forecasting/modeling services.
  • Utility Billing: Provide courteous and professional customer service to utility customers and timely information on accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
