McCormick Park Playground Open
The McCormick Park playground is now open to use while we wait for our grand opening celebration on Saturday, August 7. Thank you to everyone in the community who respected the closure signs while they were in place. Please access the playground using the concrete sidewalk from the parking lot.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Project work is still taking place around the playground. Please stay off the ground surrounding the playground while grass is being established. Walking in this area will damage the grass and will mean longer delays before we can fully remove the fencing and open the entire area. The contractor still has some maintenance work to complete on the play equipment and the curb surrounding the playground. Certain areas of the playground will need to be closed temporarily as that work is completed.
We are excited to announce that the official grand opening celebration for the playground will take place on Saturday, August 7 during Citizens Day in the Park! Check back for more details coming soon!
