Pre-Pandemic Hours, Additional Programs Return at St. Helens Public Library

St. Helens, Ore. – The St. Helens Public Library will resume its regular, pre-pandemic hours of service beginning Monday, October 11, 2021. The community will once again be able to visit the Library on the following days and hours:
- Monday through Thursday: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Friday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Age-specific storytimes and youth Make It! programs will also resume the week of October 10. For now, youth activities are being structured to take place outdoors to offer greater COVID-19 protection.
Baby Storytime takes place every Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. Toddler and Preschool Storytime takes place on Thursdays at 11:15 a.m. Storytimes incorporate songs, stories, and movement that are designed to support early literacy skills, brain development, and motor skill growth.
Outdoor Make It! programs take place on Wednesdays at 3 p.m. Upcoming activities include a LEGO free-play day on October 13, drawing with 3D pens on October 20, and circuitry projects on October 27. The 3D pens and circuits programs are designed for youth ages 7-12, and class size is limited. Call the Library at 503-397-4544 to register your child for a spot.
In partnership with the St. Helens Recreation Program, Nature Buddies is also returning on Wednesday, October 20. This program will be held every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon in McCormick Park. Join Library and Recreation staff for a story, songs, nature-based activity, and trail walk for kids 0-5 years old and their caregiver.
