ST. HELENS, OR – Following Governor Kate Brown’s guidance issued on May 7, 2020, to cancel all large gatherings through at least September, the City of St. Helens has made the difficult decision to cancel the following summer community events:

  • 13 Nights on the River Summer Concert Series
  • Independence Day Fireworks Celebration
  • Citizens Day in the Park

The decision to cancel these events was not made lightly. The health of our community is our number one priority, and these cancellations are made to ensure the City follows current public health guidelines from the Oregon Health Authority and the directives of Governor Brown.

We understand that this decision is disappointing. At the City of St. Helens, we strive to provide a high quality of life to our community, which includes hosting and helping facilitate community events each year.

While we are not able to host large events this summer, the City is already exploring options for hosting community events later this year, including a 13 Nights on the River concert series in the fall and an expanded Christmas Ships Parade and Community Tree Lighting Celebration.
