Thank You, St. Helens Board and Commission Volunteers

Collage of members of our Boards and Commissions

Members of the City’s boards and commissions volunteer their time, passion, and expertise to advise City Council in some of the City’s most important undertakings. Their dedication helps guide St. Helens toward its best possible future, and for that and in honor of National Volunteer Week, the City is thankful! We appreciate all that you do, board members and commissioners!

Not sure what a board or commission does?

Each board and commission is made up of community members, City staff, and at least one Council Liaison. The City has a Budget Committee, a Library Board, a Parks & Trails Commission, a Planning Commission, and an Arts & Cultural Commission (which is on hiatus). Each group advises the City Council based on its area of specialization.

If you love the St. Helens Public Library, our parks, or have a talent for budgets, boards and commissions are a great way to serve your community. Each group meets regularly or when called to meet. You can read about each of the City’s boards and commissions on our website and see examples of meeting agendas and minutes on the meetings page.
