McCormick Park
park description

Milton Creek cuts through the western third of the park. This area is relatively flat and contains many never-been-cleared evergreens and deciduous trees, shrubs, and brush. The eastern portion of the park, where most amenities are located, is relatively flat with a few rock outcroppings. The Parks Department's shop is located near the baseball field parking lots. The park also has a caretaker's manufactured home. There are two vehicle entrances to the park, both along South 18th Street. The northern entrance is located near the Columbia Learning Center that is home to the St. Helens Public Library and the southern entrance to the park leads to the Veterans Memorial, playground, covered picnic areas and baseball field. Amenities include two large picnic gazebos with power, skateboard park, BMX track, 1.5 mile fitness trail that leads from the shower restroom area to the skate park, 1 mile of nature trails, 2 lighted softball fields, concession stands, 2 smaller baseball fields, Veteran's memorial with a real howitzer cannon, 18-hole disc golf course and an off-leash pet picnic area.
