Water, Sewer & Storm Water Rates Effective December 15, 2009
Public Works Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Monday - Friday; telephone,

After-Hours Emergency: 503-397-1521.
Water Service Information: A deposit of $30.00 will be required of consumers within the city limits, and a deposit of $40.00 will be required of customers outside the city limits of St. Helens before water service will be furnished. All users of City water inside or outside the City of St. Helens shall pay $4.76 per month service charge for each water service meter in addition to the rate paid for water use.

Paying
Restoration Charge: A customer shall pay for restoration of water service when service has been disconnected because of nonpayment. The customer shall then pay the sum of $20.00 for the reconnection fee. This fee is in addition to the late charges assessed on the account.
Senior Citizen Subsidy: The monthly water service subsidy shall be up to a maximum of $16.27 ($32.55 per billing cycle) for a home within the City limits that is occupied and either owned or rented by an individual 65 years of age or over. An applicant for such a subsidy shall come in person to the City Hall Annex at 275 Strand Street and provide proof of age.
Water meters are City property and should not be tampered with. If
you have a water or sewer emergency, such as a broken pipe or leak, and it is
between 8:30am-12pm or 1-5pm call the Water
Department at (503)397-6272. If it is outside of these hours, please call After-Hours Emergency
at (503)397-1521. A staff person is on-call 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week.
